I snagged another $25 CVS Gift Card!!

A couple of weeks ago, I got a coupon from the coupon scanner for a free $25 Gift Card with any new or transfered prescription. I always hold onto these, just in case- but I rarely get to use them. But, a $10 prescription got me a $25 card! I still have $19 on the one I got from mypoints.com, so it looks like it will be a while before I have anmore OOP at CVS!

Kroger

I needed to spend $6 in order to get my next gas credit- I was running on empty. I figured I'd run in and get another gallon of milk while it was still $2.99 and spend my $3.50 coupon on some valentine treats for the kids. Also used my coupon to get another free pack of TP.

THIS week, I puposefuly bought 22 items so as not to have the hassle again. Turns out, the problem was corrected, so I did not "have" to buy the 2 Totinos pizzas. I still did pretty well, though:

Walmart Trip- NOT a savings trip!

This trip was strictly to pick up things I was out of that are not on sale at Kroger or Bi-Lo, to my knowledge. I did manage to use a FEW coupons. I also splurged on the name brand on several items. I find that the Sara Lee bread tastes better and stays fresh longer. When I buy store brand burger buns, I always end up throwing away a few unused ones. I bought Crisco vegetable oil for $0.30 more than great value. The GV brand was much darker- what's up with that? Do they add dirt to it, lol?

Update

I have not "blogged" lately because my family has been sick....and I've not done much shopping as a result. I did go by CVS and get my "free" razor- The Gillette Fusion was $3.99 after ECB, and I used the $4 coupon from the Sunday paper. I also picked up a few things from Kroger, although they owe me $3. They are doing a "Buy 10, get $3 off" and the Minute Maid OJ was not included on my receipt, as the ad indicated. Several items are still on this week, and work out well when combined with coupons- be sure to check out the ad! Some of the top deals:

Manwich Sauce $1- $0.30 (B10/G$3)- $0.50/2 mc doubled= $0.20 ea
Ritz Crackers $2.68- $0.30 - $2/2 = $1.68 ea
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.79 - $0.30 - $0.50/2 mc doubled = $0.99 ea

Also, my Kroger has a Catalina deal on the BC Fruit snacks through Feb. 22- buy 3, get a $1.50 q off your next order, buy 4 & get $2.50. buy 5 and get $3.50. This makes them an even better deal! I know there are more coupon matches out there- feel free to comment & post yours!
