Here's my math on my "profit": I spent $5.14 on a GC AND $15ECB's- total $$20.14, got back $24.99 in ECB's...total profit $4.85. If you count that the $5.14 was free monay as well, it's a profit of $9.99!!
Oh my word.. I just don't understand how you get these deals.. I have tried..but it almost hurts my brain trying to figure out how to make the coupons work with the ECBs.. and then I hear that some stores don't take the same ones ahhhhhhhhh!! Looks like you did such a great job!! I really do try to use coupons but I never seem to find these kind of deals. I think I will try and come back here and follow your suggestions.. I do have to ask.. what is the coupon machine??

I have to say- I was quite proud of this trip! I usually don't do as well. The "coupon machine" is a scanner that is in some CVS stores- one of my stores just recently got one. You scan your CVS card, and it prints out a few coupons- totally pot-luck as far as I can tell. But today, I got a $5/$30 purchase, free CVS antacid, $1 off any shampoo or conditioner (I think I could have used it along with my herbal essences coupon, but I was so excited I forgot to hand that one over). Also got $25 gift card with a new or transferred prescription, but I never have any meds, so can't ever use those!

www.mypoints.com is a web-site where you earn points for various activities- you can shop through their merchant links to earn points, but I earn most of mine simply by accepting their email and clicking on links in the mail to earn points. When I shop online, I prefer to use sites where I earn cash back, like ebates.com. That's where I earned my CVS gift card. I have also used points in the past to get Chili's, Barnes & Noble, I think I did Land's End once because I wanted a boat tote. If I ever figure out how, I will post an ad on my blog.
